We Think It’s Instant

We are so used to instant. Two day delivery, express check outs, what is a TV commercial anyways? I often say to someone I’m working with, “I see you for a few hours every month, what are you practicing and doing outside of this space?”

Attuning towards our inner knowing is tricky. Depending on how we identify and have moved through the world, being present can be exhausting, but I think it can be quite simple: it’s the moments where we can pause and slow down, or reflect on the work we are doing.

It’s okay to take notes during a session! Write things down and ask questions, whether it’s to yourself or for future conversations with someone you love, to get clarity around what is moving you forward. These are all ways we can process what we are understanding and working on within our soul’s journey.

I always love the quote from Andy Bernard in The Office, “I wish there was a way to know you’re in the good old days, before you’ve actually left them,” because we might not like where we find ourselves now, but we are someplace different than where we were before. It’s trusting that we know how to get there and that the path will unfold.
